this tag uses the courage saying from Unity Stamp co quiet voice. i did a video so you could see how to get the background. it is simple but fun and would make a beautiful art journal background also.
it is difficult most days to go downstairs to get things done (i don't always here the babies down there) and some days my fibromyalgia won't let me do stairs. I finally got a spot on the main floor i can film. my filming is not perfect but sometimes it is the best way to show how to do techniques.

 the start of this week's tag was me putting something away. i had a tag and i was putting my dr martin watercolor ink away......and decided to drop a few drops on the tag....they are strong colors. i then used water on a brush and covered the tag with blue ink then added some purple ink let dry then added some interference violet golden paint with a brayer then some iridescent pearl paint with brayer then i did some scrapping with an old gift card....photo 1 and 2.
I next used some tim holtz rub on's and cover the whole tag. then i added just a little white pen. i look in my old make up suitcase to see what i had stashed away and found the muslin heidi swap banner ribbon, some ribbon from the $1 bins at michael's, burlap paper, a prima banner piece, some paper flowers and chitchat courage sticker from tim holts. I used tim holtz stain (weathered wood) to color the smaller banner ribbon-photo 3.  i got everything layered and glued down...i cut notches and baker's twine on the triangle banner piece then used hot glue to hold that and the flower's in place. i took several different ribbons handmade loops then tied the loops with bakers twine to make the bow.

with my daughters new college schedule it has been hard to do tag "tuesday" i am plugging away at it and will post as soon as possible......tag "thursday" maybe.....better.

this is made with a digital scrapbook paper from my boys to men set....i love that set and i have printed it out also. returning to my Etsy store soon.

tag tuesday

our first tag tuesday is coming i have 2 little guys that were gone for a week and every time they wake up they want to be held.....

i have been trying to decide on today's tag and i have all kinds of ideas floating in my head...but i also want to use up some stuff sitting around....so now i have a couple of tags going.....

this first one is the one i want to finish for you today.

at first i just wasn't sure although i love the cute show girl there is no real inspirational saying to go with her. but as i looked at it with the banner i thought about celebrating the new year and winter....a time to reflect, remember, rest and have courage to try again tomorrow. so i am going to find a way to take the tag background i made the snow girl image, some ribbon and a saying from this set together or miracles happen everyday saying and finish this tag for you....what do you have lying around?

free printable just click on image and right click to save to your computer and then print. i have put 4 on the 8.5x11.

the background is an old line from teresa collins then i added blue water color and some smooch all over.  (the smooch is just on the top half.) watercolored the banner snow girl. i stamped the saying and cut it apart to add around the girl, added ribbon and may still ad glitter. 

hint i punch or cut little notches on each to help hold the ribbon.

the saying was just perfect for a new year,  

Who knows where this path will take us but let's go forth hand in hand & promise not to let go because it may lead us somewhere vast & amazing.
